The biggest discount campaign in the history of Helsinki region public transport will take place in August–September.
According to a statement made public in the website of the Helsinki Transport Authority (HSL), adult 30-day season tickets for all zones will be sold at a 50% discount on the HSL app between 17 August and 15 September 2021.
During the campaign, for example, 30-day season tickets for two zones (AB, BC) will cost 31.30 euros (normal price is 62.70 euros).
Students and 70+ passengers get a 50% discount instead of the usual 45% discount.
As children always travel at half the adult fare, the campaign does not apply to child tickets, HSL says in the statement.
People who have an auto-renewing season ticket subscription on the HSL app will get the discount automatically on a 30-day ticket whose start date is within the campaign period. For those who have an auto-renewing saver subscription, the discount price of an AB ticket is 26.10 euros (normal price is 52.30 euros).
The discount also applies to employer-subsidized commuter tickets purchased via the HSL Commuter Benefits Service during the campaign period.
“Through this campaign we want to remind people that public transport continues to serve everyone as it has throughout these exceptional times. We welcome back all those who haven’t used public transport for a long time. If you haven’t yet used the HSL app, now is a good time to try it,” says HSL’s Director of Customer Experience and Sales Mari Flink.
The discount only applies to season tickets purchased using the HSL app. Tickets purchased using other methods are at normal prices.
