Ostrobothnia police have asked citizens for clues about people who may have been involved in the destruction of a car owned by an 18-year-old man of foreign origin who ended up in hospital last week after being harassed and beaten by a group of young people in Teuva (north-western Finland).

In a press release, police explain that on Saturday 6 June, a patrol had to intervene after receiving around 1:45 AM a notification of a fight in which a young man had been beaten. Said events are being investigated as alleged crimes of aggravated assault and against road traffic safety. One person was arrested in connection with the facts.

However, the police say that when the officers left the scene of the fight, the victim's car was "intact." 

'Mamu'

According to police information, on Wednesday 10 June the police learned that the car had been destroyed. The vehicle suffered the breakage of all the windows, blows to the bodywork, and someone sprayed the word 'Mamu' on one of the sides.

So in addition to the investigation previously opened for assault, officers are now investigating the damage caused to the vehicle.
