The Finnish Social Security Institution (Kela) will launch telephone services in Arabic, Russian and Somali on 1 September.
These services are intended for those customers whose language skills in Finnish, Swedish or English are not good enough to satisfy their needs.
Kela informed in its website that these services seek to reduce the need for interpreters. The Social Security expects that as the customers integrate in Finnish society and acquire language skills, they will be directed to use its services in Finnish, Swedish or English.
But in the meantime, here are the phone numbers and timetables to get customer assistance in Arabic, Somali and Russian languages:
Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 to 12:00
Phone number: 020 634 4902
Friday from 10:00 to 13:00
Phone number: 020 634 4905
Monday and Thursday from 9:00 to 12:00
Phone Number: 020 634 4901
Apart from this, Kela also informed that the opening hours of the telephone service in Sami language will not change.
