Finland and Sweden join NATO meeting to seek response to coronavirus

Finnish Minister of Defence Antti Kaikkonen will participate in NATO's defence minister meeting on Wednesday 15 April, informed the Ministry of Defence in a press release.

Due to the coronavirus situation, the meeting will be organised via video connection.

In addition to the NATO countries, the Finnish and Swedish defence ministers and the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell have been invited to the meeting.

The meeting will focus on NATO's response to the outbreak of the coronavirus causing COVID-19 and the effects of the pandemic on defence.
