Automobile sales in Finland increased in April for the second month in a row, according to Statistics Finland's data.

The increase in new passenger car registrations was very strong, 47.8% more than in April 2020, but it must be taken into account that a year ago the first wave of the pandemic was in full swing, with its damaging consequences for the economy.

In fact, the level of sales recorded in 2019, before the Covid-19, is still a long way off.

In April 2021, the number of new passenger cars registered was 8,840, which was 47.8% up from the year before, but compared to April 2019, passenger car registrations decreased by 9.3%.
