Poland will launch vaccinations of children aged 12-15 on 7 June, the government's vaccination official Michal Dworczyk said on Tuesday.

Children will be vaccinated in existing vaccination centres.

In mid-September, headmasters will be able to launch vaccination centres in their schools, the country's education minister said during a press conference.

To date, Poland, a country of 38 million, has administered over 20 million vaccine doses, Health Ministry data show.

Over 7 million people have been fully vaccinated.

As of Monday, Poland is among seven member states which adhered to the EU system of electronic Covid-19 certificates, Health Minister Adam Niedzielski said during the press conference.

The certificates will attest that a person has been vaccinated, received a negative Covid-19 PCR test or that they have already beaten Covid-19, Niedzielski said.
