Gun violence is on the rise in Sweden according to a report by national TV broadcaster SVT based on police records and its own investigations.

This year has seen 18 people shot in Sweden so far, compared to 5 in the same time span in 2021, 12 in 2020, 10 in 2019, and eight in 2018.

Most of the shootings are related to criminal gangs, according to the report.
