Sweden coach Janne Andersson said on Wednesday his players are very committed and active in the final Euro 2020 countdown despite two positive coronavirus cases.

Andersson told a news conference that he wants to prepare the team normally for their opening game on Monday in Seville against Spain, who are also struggling with coronavirus cases among their ranks. Spanish captain Sergio Busquets tested positive on Sunday and Diego Llorente on Tuesday.

The Swedish coach also gave details about the situation of Dejan Kulusevski, one of the two players who tested positive.

According to Andersson, Kulusevski had been invited to a dinner by his sister, but some of his friends also joined the meeting "as a little surprise."

Kulusevski assumed he couldn't be infected as he had Covid-19 before. Nevertheless, this wasn't a good decision, Andersson said.

"He really regrets attending the dinner and the meeting," the coach stressed. But he doesn't believe that's when Kulusevski was infected.

The other player who tested positive was Mattias Svanberg.

According to team doctor Anders Valentin, neither of them is showing any symptoms, but they won't join the squad for the match against Spain.
