The Argentinian football legend died on Wednesday of a heart attack at the age of 60.

Investigators have formally accused the personal doctor of Argentine football legend Diego Maradona, Leopoldo Luque, of involuntary manslaughter, according to local media reports.

Luque's practice in the capital Buenos Aires and house in a suburb were searched early Sunday, according to several Argentine media citing judicial sources.

An investigation is being carried out in potential irregularities in the treatment of Maradona in his house in a guarded residential area north of Buenos Aires in the last two weeks of his life.

Blood clot removed

The 1986 World Cup winner was recovering there after the neurosurgeon Luque and other doctors removed a blood clot on the brain earlier this month.
