Rinne will meet with Macron in Paris to discuss Brexit

On the agenda are also discussions on the themes of Finland's Presidency of the Council of the EU.

Finnish Primer Minister Antti Rinne will meet the President of France Emmanuel Macron in Paris on Wednesday 18 September.

According to the information released by the Government Communications Department, on the agenda of the meeting between Rinne and Macron are comprehensive discussions on the themes of Finland’s Presidency of the Council of the EU and other current EU affairs.

These include bringing the negotiations on the multiannual financial framework into conclusion, the rule of law within the EU, and work on climate change.

Also on the agenda are the negotiations on EU enlargement, defence cooperation, hybrid threats and Brexit situation.
