Refugee reception center in Rauma will close

This is the second closing announcement made by Migri in six days.

Finland's Immigration authorities will close another reception centre for asylum seekers.

"The Finnish Immigration Service has discontinued the contract of the reception centre in Rauma," Migri said in a press release dated 2 December.

This is the second closing announcement of a reception centre in just six days. On 26 November, Migri also announced the closure of its centre in Paihola, in the in the municipality of Kontiolahti (North Karelia).

The operations of both reception centres, both with a capacity of 150 beds and managed by the Finnish Red Cross, will end by 30 June 2020.
