Finnish industrial production grew again after months of decline

In November, seasonally adjusted industrial output went up by 1.3% from the month before.

Finnish industrial production grew again in November 2019, after two months of declines.

According to Statistics Finland's latest data, seasonally adjusted industrial output went up by 1.3% in November from the month before.

If we look at the year-on-year results, industrial output adjusted for working days was 3.7% higher in November 2019 than in November 2018. Adjusted for working days, industrial output went up by 2.2% in January to November from one year back.

Examined by main industry, seasonally adjusted industrial output grew in November most in electrical and electronics industry, by 6.7%, and in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, by 5.5%.

Production decreased most in mining and quarrying (8.7% month-on-month). Output also declined in the forest industry (0.9%) and in the chemical industry (0.2%).
