Helsinki Stock Exchange declines over 5% in the opening

United States' travel ban affected Helsinki Stock Exchange Market badly.

After the announcement of the 30 days United States’ travel ban from Europe, the Helsinki Stock Exchange has opened at 10 am with a clear decline. 

In Helsinki, the OMXHPI index, which measures stock market performance, fell by 5.2% in the opening.  

Nokia (7.5%) and Wärtsilä (6.3%) fell the most on the Helsinki Exchanges. Finnair's share also fell by 7.7%.

European airline stock prices plummet in the morning. Norwegian airline’s share fell immediately by 17%.

Air France KLM shares dipped 15% and German Lufthansa 9%. UK airline shares were in a downturn. British Airways, EasyJet and WIZZ had all felt 7-9%.

However, the firms have recovered the decline after an hour. 

Asia stock markets also crashed in the morning.
