Defence Minister will visit Sweden to discuss cooperation with NATO

During his working visit, he will also visit a naval base.

Minister of Defence Antti Kaikkonen will make a working visit to Karlskrona, Sweden, on 9 to 10 March 2020, the Finnish Government reported in a press release.

The visit will be hosted by Peter Hultqvist, Sweden's Minister for Defence.

According to the Ministry of Defence, both Ministers are to discuss bilateral defence cooperation, regional security situation, exercise cooperation, cooperation with NATO and the EU as well as defence materiel cooperation. They will also address cooperation in crisis management operations.

During his working visit, Minister Kaikkonen will familiarise himself with the Swedish Navy and he will visit Karlskrona naval base.
