Next Monday, 4 October, in Madrid all capacity limitations derived from the Covid-19 pandemic will be eliminated.

The decision will affect the hotel industry, bars, restaurants, nightclubs, but also other public spaces such as cinemas, theaters, multipurpose spaces and sports activities.

The regional president, Isabel Diaz Ayuso, announced the end of these restrictions on Wednesday night, in an interview with Telecinco from New York, where she is on an official trip.

The time restrictions no longer exist in Madrid and the capacity restrictions that are still in force today are quite permissive.

Since September 20, the capacity restrictions that exist are 75% in indoor sports activities; in theaters, cinemas multipurpose spaces and auditoriums. Inside bars, restaurants and nightlife there is a limit of 6 people per table and 10 people per table on the outdoor terraces.

Those limitations will disappear on Monday 4 October.

Consumption at the bar will also be allowed, as long as the customer is seated.
