Finnish President Niinistö tests positive for coronavirus

An official visit to Norway on Thursday and Friday will be postponed

Finnish President Sauli Niinistö has contracted the coronavirus.

The 73-year-old is now temporarily in isolation.

Niinistö tested positive for the virus on Tuesday, but is doing well despite the infection, his office announced.

The president is now temporarily continuing his work remotely.

An official visit to Norway on Thursday and Friday will be postponed.
